…I’ll get to that later in my post. First, I’m always writing down quotes in my journal that make me catch my breath….such as when Pita in Man on Fire prayed:
“Dear God, I do not ask for health or wealth. People ask you so often that you can’t have any left. Give me, God, what else you have. Give me what no-one else asks for. Amen.”
I wrote it on a rock*. It reminds me to not take my prayers for granted. It reminds me to thank God for his blessings and to pray for humility, forgiveness and the weak and the innocent.
Here are 2 other quotes, I can’t list them all or it would take up an entire blog:
“It was one of those days when it’s a minute away from snowing and there’s this electricity in the air, you can almost hear it. And this bag was, like, dancing with me. Like a little kid begging me to play with it. For fifteen minutes. And that’s the day I knew there was this entire life behind things, and… this incredibly benevolent force, that wanted me to know there was no reason to be afraid, ever. Video’s a poor excuse, I know. But it helps me remember… and I need to remember… Sometimes there’s so much beauty in the world I feel like I can’t take it, like my heart’s going to cave in.” -from American Beauty
“For what it’s worth: it’s never too late or, in my case, too early to be whoever you want to be. There’s no time limit, stop whenever you want. You can change or stay the same, there are no rules to this thing. We can make the best or the worst of it. I hope you make the best of it. And I hope you see things that startle you. I hope you feel things you never felt before. I hope you meet people with a different point of view. I hope you live a life you’re proud of. If you find that you’re not, I hope you have the strength to start all over again.” -from The Curious Case of Benjamin Button

Great quotes!! I'm a quote saver also. They inspire me.
I remember when I saw Benjamin Button, I was touched by that quote also.
I would love it if you would post a good quote every so often.

What kinda poot breaks a statue of a saint..haha. All I can say is good for them for being nice enough to try to fix him and then returning him. I guess the kidnapping was with good intention.

that was nice of them to return it! It is a beautiful statue:)
I live in the desert of Southern Utah about an hour and a half north of Vegas called St. George. Have you heard of it? It's a nice little town, but so damn hot!!!

Love the first quote! God knew I needed to hear that one today. And the St. Francis statue?? That is hillarious. There's got to be a crazy story behind that.

Great quotes and the St. Francis story is almost too funny to be true.
I did post a couple recycled t-shirt dresses on your flickr group. I'm new to the whole flickr thing so I guess I could have been more specific. Thanks again for that great pattern!! I loved using it!
Ohh…and I added another button to my blog. Te he!!! 🙂

hrm… though the BB quote is nice, I did NOT like the movie…and actually blogged about it recently.
Here is a quote that I LOVE (don't know where I got it or the source):
Worrying doesn't take the sting out of tomorrow, just the strength from today.
As for St. Francis: what gorgeous patina! Even with the broken head, I don't know that I have seen one prettier. Though I must admit I have a concrete one with that greenish mossy stuff on it – not too bad. I have him in a bird bath and the birds sit on his head. I love that.

Great quotes! Thanks for sharing!
I bet some kids messed with your St. Francis statue and their Mom found out, tried to repair him, and made the kids bring him back.
It's still a good-looking statue and now he has a really cool story to share!
