So it started with one top for Boo. The idea was a racer back muumuu …..floaty and lightweight for summer. I came across this fabric that reminded me of vintage Palm Springs resort style (or cushions on an episode of Mad Men) and combined it with some of my own silk screens…I dig it. I even managed to get a few good photos this morning at the park despite her being tired and grumpy. I love this style so much.
Here are a few that I added yesterday. I’ve been experimenting with some new bamboo fabrics…..loving how soft they are…..like butter. Some of the dresses have some upcycled pieces, others are 100% new. If I can find some help soon I’d love to start adding some adult sizes too…..as dorky as it sounds, I love matching with my daughter 😉 As always, I try to add a few every day to my Lil Blue Boo Clothing shop….so if they are all sold out just keep checking (or check Facebook to see when I am listing them).

Hey, I like matching with my daughter, also – but, I have to say she's a lot cuter than I am!
And, have you experimented with the durability of the bamboo material? I've been curious on how it stands up to washing/drying and toddler play! You'll have to report back to us how it holds up.
By the way, pretty fabric choices! So spring-y!

I LOVE this dress. Sienna looks beautiful! Will you have this racerback dress pattern for sale? I would love to try this for my daughter. Ellen

Charlene, it's pretty durable. I think much more durable than the lightweight cotton clothing from boutiques. It washes better too.

I think the bamboo fabric is very durable. I've made some things for my little guy and they've held up very well. And he's a boy!
Also, I like matching with him. That's probably even more dorky than matching with one's daughter!
I love these dresses….

I really like this dress!! such a shame you only make them in kid size!! what's the biggest kid size you sell them in? I'm a "small" adult i guess 😛
Maybe you should sell pattern for adult size~~ i think it'll make a nice one piece – definitely go with leggings well!:P

love it!

So cute and comfortable! I have dresses that are similar so it would definitely work with a couple of adjustments for Mom too!
BTW we've been using bamboo fabrics for years with cloth diapers, and this is what I've learned. 100% is the weakest,ie holes, but softest (but we did wash and dry on HOT). A tiny bit of poly or cotton in the blend will make for a strong fabric. Jersey and interlock should work great for year round fashions. Flannel and OBV (organic bamboo velour, aka vicose from bamboo) are the absolute softest and take dye beautifully, but they're heavier weight so maybe more appropriate for cold weather. Washing everything on cold should keep the fabrics soft and the colors vibrant. A, I can't wait to see what you come up with next!

I am a massive fan of bamboo…here are a few facts about bamboo for ya'll: bamboo is hypoallergenic, antifungal, moisture wicking, eco friendly, blah blah blah. And soft as butter is an understatement! Love it Ash!
