Hi, Ashley,
I’ve been following your blog for about 6 weeks. I look forward to reading it everyday. I’m sorry for the great personal losses of your Dad and your unborn child. If you haven’t read the little paper-back “Heaven is for Real”, please do when you feel like it. I think your little Boo can identify with it, too, with your help.
I have been so inspired by many of your projects. We are expecting our first grandchild and I just can’t stop sewing and crafting for my daughter and son-in-law and their precious baby, Lucas. They just moved to a new home in May, so the sewing projects range from home dec to crib sheets to sleep sacs. I have a big bundle of goodies for Sarah to play with every time she comes home. This trip, I showed her the round changing pad out of vinyl tablecloths. She loves it!
I’d like to know how you started your blog, and how long it takes, generally, to recruit sponsors/advertisers. I’m always working on a variety of projects, from quilting to jewelry-making. (Sewing is my favorite past time.) If you are willing, please share with me some of your wisdom about blogging. Or direct me to a good tutorial for blogging. I’ve been watching some other award-winning sites, but haven’t found the key for turning enough profit to pay for supplies.
Thank you for all the beautiful things you share everyday. I admire your consistency.
And I am delighted that you choose joy.

Ramona-I think, if I remember correctly Ashley said her mother gave her that book and she actually passed it on to a young lady she met at the airport who had just lost her brother who was in the military.
I need to get that book too.
