Living in earthquake country has me constantly thinking about disaster preparations (we live just a few miles from the San Andreas fault in southern California). With hurricane Irene on her way I thought I’d repost my master emergency list I made a few years ago. Click on the image and the PDF should begin to download. I also have a few other helpful lists like family emergency plans and household inventory documents at my Earthquake Preparedness post (click here). Thinking about all of you in the hurricane path and praying for safety!

I don’t usually comment…I am totally a lurker…
…but last time you posted this, I shared it (as a link) with many. It is such a great list and has some wonderful things on it that sometimes many forget. I wanted to thank you. I know it is a great place to start. I am pretty passionate about storage and prepardness so this really strikes a chord with me. Thank you

That’s so intense! I really can’t even imagine the possibility of earthquakes or hurricanes. Having always lived right in the middle of Canada, I’ve never had to think about such things. My thoughts go out to those preparing for the storm.
