A few Booisms from the archives:
Boo: From now on I’m wearing a shower cap and my shoes in the shower.
Me: Fine, but nothing else…..otherwise the shower will be pointless.
Me: WHY did you draw on Li’l Sally’s (her doll) back?
Boo: I thought she was paper.
Me: Really?! You thought she was paper?!
Boo: No (long pause)…..actually….I wanted her to have a tattoo.
Boo: “I don’t want to read anymore of The Giving Tree where the people take all her stuff. I don’t like when they take all her stuff. Why would they take all her stuff?”
Me: Please….no “pirate” pose this time, okay?
Boo: Okay.
Me: (take photo) What on earth was that?
Boo: THAT…..was my awesome “scary monster behind you” pose!
Overheard from Boo’s room one night: “The truth is……I am Ironman.”
Me: WHAT is on your cheeks?
Boo: Glittery glue.
Me: What?! You aren’t supposed to put that on your face!
Boo: DON’T touch it! You might mess it up!
Boo (with a basket of knit scraps): Who wants to buy a blanket from me?
Me: Are you trying to sell my own fabric to me?
Boo: No, I’m selling it to Daddy too. I’m selling it to everybody.
Boo: Everyone tells me I’m cute.
Me: Hmmm….do you think you are cute?
Boo: No. I think I’m handsome.
Me: Well, I think that’s cool…kind of unconventional.
Boo: Yep.
Boo: Here’s how I’m writing my name now…..no more S, just a dollar sign: $ienna
Me: You are ripping off Ke$ha.

Isn’t it so funny what kids will say? There are a few things that have been SO FUNNY (or sometimes tear jerking unbelievable) coming out of Jordan, that I wrote them in my journal to show him one day! Sometimes I just look at him after he says something and I can’t even respond… I just smile! 🙂

oh that’s hilarious. I will have to keep a journal for when that stage comes.

I just love Boo! The things she says crack me up!! I’m noticing my 2 1/2 year old is starting to say more and more things like this. I think I really need to capture them so, like Amber L said, she can look back later! Love it ~ thanks for sharing!

These are awesome!!! She sounds like so much fun and that she would be friends with my son. He told me to hurry up and make circles on my head this morning (I figured out he meant curl my hair haha 🙂

Love them all. She is such a cutie. I love the handsome quote and the $ replacing her S. How clever! My son has one that sticks in my mind even though he’s now 15. He was asking me what seemed like a million questions one day while running errands. It was a very busy day so my answers were becoming shorter and shorter. I think it was probably question #100 when he asked, “When were you married, Mommy?” I said, “A long time ago.” He followed up with the sincere question, “Was Jesus alive?” 🙂 I also remember the time when my daughter was asked by someone in the store, “Has anyone ever told you how cute you are?” to which she simply replied yes with a smile and went on her way. Kids are so cute and so fun. I just love them!

Oh my gosh, I laughed very loud at these. She is hilarious – thanks for the laugh Boo ! 🙂

I have 4 children all in their 20’s now and I used to write down all their cute comments like that too and so glad I did. They love hearing about them and I would never have remembered all those clever things they said, and there were lots!
Thanks so much for sharing! Put a smile on my face and helped me to remember the days when mine were that young (and silly) 🙂

I 100% agree with Boo about the book.
I never read The Giving Tree until I lived with a roommate in 2004. She went on and on about how it was her favorite children’s book. I read it. I thought it was the most horrible book and that boy/man was the most selfish insensitive person in the whole world. I cried.
She thought I was psychotic.
