A new ongoing series on Lil Blue Boo: The Next Li’l Designer.
They design it…..I try to interpret it.
Addie is the daughter of Annie (of Paint the Moon Photography). Annie is an amazing photographer so Addie has pretty much grown up in front of the camera and knows her stuff! I thought she would be the perfect guest designer for the debut of this series. Addie sent me her sketch, I made the outfit from her design and then sent it back for photos. I think she did an amazing job!
Addie doesn’t grant many interviews but we were able to catch up and persuade her to answer a couple of questions for Lil Blue Boo.
1. What are you up to these days?
Going to Discovery Village, riding my horse, riding my new big girl bike, drawing, playing with my baby sister and making artwork.
2. Do you have a name for your dress creation?
The brand new rainbow party play dress.
3. What kinds of things inspire you?
Booorrrrinnnggg stuff!!
Is that your final answer?
Doggies, love and rainbows.
4. What do think the best and worst fashion trends are right now?
Nothing. No. Nothing. Arrggghhh – this is boring. I don’t even know what you are talking about! Nothing.
Okay, let me rephrase the question….what do you like to wear and what DON’T you like to wear?
Best fashion trends: tall boots and skinny jeans, ruffles, puff sleeves, lacy things, leggings, poofy skirts, knee high socks, rocker stuff, rompers, clothes like my mommy wears, sparkly and sequins that are shiny.
Worst: uncomfortable clothes that are tight or itchy or if you can’t play in it. Dresses that aren’t soft or look like big potato sacks with flowers on them.
5. If you could be any animal what would it be?
A jaguar.
Why the Jaguar?
Because I like them…..

My sweet girl Charlotte drew herself with an amazing outfit on the other day, I would have never thought to actually make it! Great idea to turn a child’s artwork into wearable art! I love it!
She did an awesome job!!! Love when little peeps can see what they’ve designed come to life and not just stay on paper. My daughter has a sketch book as well so she can draw and design and then I’ve given her scraps of fabric to put together so we can make outfits for her AG doll and bear.

How cute is that. I have B design a lot of her cloths. I even let my (2 yr old at the time) design herself a dress. Of course it looks like Dora thru up a rainbow, but it is still her favorite dress. 🙂
