thanks!
Just added a few to this post!
I can’t wait! Amazingly, I have never sewn clothes from knits, but I have 3 bins of tee scraps from making quilts and would love to use them. Should I invest in a serger in your opinion?
Hi there, Ashley! I hope you’re feeling a little bit better. You’ve all been in my thoughts and prayers. I have a quick question (make that two) for you if you don’t mind. I live in rural Indiana and I cannot seem to find a great place to snag adorable knit fabric. Are there any online retailers that you would recommend? I just prefer making clothing with knits to other cotton fabrics– I just feel like it looks so much more natural.
Question numero dos: Do you have a recommendation for a great home cover stitch machine? I just feel like knits have a much better finish with a cover stitch. Thanks so much! You’re my creative hero. 😉
Chez Ami has some really cute prints! I also just search on ebay for rib knit by they yard 🙂
I always use a serger when I make knits. I have the Janome 110DX and I love it.
Hi
Firstly can I say, what a wonderfully inspirational person you are and I think about you on a daily basis, Blessings to you and yours.
Secondly, I wish these patterns were for big girlies too (that would be growed ups!) I have all this material and a sewing machine and a craft shed and I wish, wish, wish I had the courage to ACTUALLY make something. I am scared that I will be no good. I have bitten the bullet a bit. I thrifted a sewing book from the 1960’s which would have been used in schools for the girls to learn their essential skills. It tells you how to read patterns, alter them and how to thread sewing machines even.
I love the things you make. You are a talented and wonderful woman.

Caroline, you should totally try and make something from LBB. Ashley makes the patterns very easy to follow and a beginner can easily make them!
Those are some adorable dresses! I can’t wait until I am skilled enough to work with cute patterns like this!

I love it! Now I just need to finish the Christmas stockings and tree skirt before I can allow myself to get more any more patterns…but after that, this is first on the list. I was just saying this morning that we needed some good winter dress options in my daughter’s closet.
so cute!
I love how the style of dress reflects the personalities of the kids & moms….some stylish, some sweet, some funky & modern, etc.
I love this pattern — just made one and it’s so cute! I really like the neckline on this one, it’s kind of like a boat neck. I cannot wait until the morning so I can have Audrey try it on 🙂 Thanks for yet ANOTHER great pattern! Oh and this one is SOOO fast and easy!
Love all the testers creations, and I’m particularly digging that blue & grey color block one!
Love it and ordered it (so I can make some cute dolls clothes for the holidays!
