A few photos of the day. My mom arrived yesterday! We had a fun evening with Boo and Grandma playing with the nativity scene. Brett put on the “DVD fireplace” for some instant ambiance:
I made my first ham. I glazed it and everything…..everyone is excited about the leftovers. A sweet woman named Char helped us with our special order last night. She just found out her cancer is in remission after 5 years of treatments……that’s an amazing Christmas blessing. We hugged as I left the store and she made me cry. I’m so happy for her.
We woke up bright and early this morning to eat at our favorite breakfast place: Keedy’s. Grandma wore her reindeer antlers. Boo and Grandma wrapped a gift for Jesus to put in the offering plate at church tonight:
Hope everyone is having a wonderful Christmas Eve. I’m going to rest today so I can spend tonight with the family.
Hi Ashley, the fire is tempting and the ham looks wonderful, you did good! Hang in there I KNOW first hand what it’s like to hear a person’s survival or remission story. It is those glimmers of hope, your faith, your humor and your strength that will get you through this junk! Best to you & your family, have a blessed Christmas.
Yummy ham! Can’t wait to hear when you are cancer free as well I will cry for you, have a very merry Christmas!
What a blessing of a day! Merry Christmas and enjoy time with the fam 🙂
A merry happy christmas to you and your family. Enjoy the festive time and make the best of it.
Good thoughts from Germany to you from me.

Merry Christmas to you and your family Ashley. I know this will be a Christmas of Being thankful for life and sad for life lost. I lost my father 9 days ago.
May we all count our blessing this Christmas.
Merry Christmas! So wonderful that your mom could be there to celebrate with you! Love the pictures!!
A gift wrapped for Jesus in the offering plate… How sweet. My husband laughed when I mentioned your fireplace DVD. I love you guys! I know you will have an amazing Christmas for all the right reasons!
So happy to see you up and about enjoying Christmas. You are an amazing mom and woman! Praying for you and your family as you miss your dad and deal with your situation. This is my second Christmas without my dad after losing him to cancer. I miss the richness he added to each holiday. I feel like I’m getting used to this new “normal” but I don’t think I’ll ever stop missing him. Hope you feel your best this weekend! Merry Christmas!
Merry Christmas Sweet one!!
I know the Lord has you all wrapped in His wings !!

The DVD makes me laugh ~ here our little local TV chanel puts on a 24 hour loop of the “Christmas Yule Log”, complete with Mr. Hand stoking the fire every once and a while. Christmas blessings on you and your family!
Love the fire! Love the ham! Love the gift wrapping! Merry Christmas to you all 🙂
Merry Christmas Ashley!!! And to your Family too.
Merry Christmas Ashley and the family!!
The ham looks delicious and I bet it tastes YUMMY! Love the fireplace DVD! It’s Christmas today on Okinawa. Funny how you don’t know someone in person but you think of them just as often as a close friend. Know that you are always being sent healing thoughts. And that you too will make your affirmation of being in remission!
Have a wonderful time snuggling and choosing JOY!
prosperity, peace and love

We had our traditional Christmas Eve dinner with my siblings and their families tonight. There were 55 of us. Wishing you a beautiful day with your family. That ham looks super delicious! xoxo
Merry Christmas! hope your day is full of memories and blessings!!
Ashley, Hope you all had a wonderful Christmas…I asked that your name be added to our prayer list on Christmas Eve, so lots and lots of prayers coming your way. We had a beautiful service, I always love going to the candlelight service. Your ham looked absolutely delicious. It’s funny, we never have ham for Christmas, but this year we also had a spiral, but I have to admit I didn’t cook it, my hubby did 🙂 Going to visit my dad and sister today in PA, tell your mom hello. My prayers and thoughts are with you everyday, Love cousin Vicki
Wish you lots of love, joy and happiness. MERRY CHRISTMAS.
