It’s not really a photo of the day…..but a set of photos. I found this slideshow from a while back of Boo painting in the garage. The huge canvas was an old painting a friend salvaged from a house remodel.
The “Untortured” Artist – who paints in Disney colors.
It’s awesome to see how creative kids can be when they are given little to no boundaries! Check out the whole series on painting with the children if you get a chance:

I love this! True that children really blossom, when they get free reign to create; they haven’t yet reached the point where they forget their connection to the Divine. 🙂

That is just so awesome. I love the determined look, the fact that she paints and only has pink feet and you give her gallons to work with. We have some horrible art in our office and I would trade for Boo’s art any day.

that looks like so much fun! when i was little my dad gave me a canvas to paint on. i repainted it for a few years, and i loved it. Even as an adult there is something cathartic about painting

I saw this picture first on Pinterest. My first thought was “That looks like Boo!” – weirded myself out a little. Guess I read pretty frequently 🙂

Brings to mind a variation on an old joke. I’ve tried painting with children, but to be honest I prefer brushes!
Good to see a child being creative! You are a very encouraging and supportive Mom.

First of all, Boo did a fabulous job! I love it! You’re a great mom for stoking her creativity like that.
Secondly, I was taking my kids to school this morning and a song came on that instantly made me think of you. “What joy, what joy for those whose hope is in the name of the Lord! What peace, what peace for those whose confidence is in the Lord!”
Praying for you today, Ash!
