I found the most amazing dresser at the thrift store to hold all the office supplies in the LBB office. It was only $170….I would have spent more at Ikea for storage for all my junk. Brett thought it was too expensive at first, but he came around when I negotiated “we’ll refinish it and sell it for more one day.” Here I am giving it a big hug:
I’d been checking the thrift stores weekly…..never finding what I really wanted or needed. THEN I walked in last weekend and this dresser was just sitting there waiting for me. It had already been re-painted the perfect color too. Another lady was eyeing it too and I swooped in like a falcon predator and tore off the “tear here and take to cashier to check out” stub and took off running.
You go girl!
oh my gosh its huge!! SO Perfect!! I LOVE IT!!!
Agh! I LOVE a good thrift store find!!! I actually find it even more satisfying when someone else is loving it, too. Gotta be quick with those awesome finds!!
Beautiful! What a find!
Bah! Ha! Hope the chick you swiped it from isn’t a fan! And like Mr.LBB could say “No” to you right now 😉
It’s beautiful love it 🙂
Congratulations! I love it!!! Know whatcha mean about “the rest of the place”. My beautiful media room is looking like a Tornado went through here and brought Valentine material, tye-dyed shirts, pot holders and dish clothes every where…but I have a vision..it’s kinda like not trusting a skinny cook…well I don’t trust the Ceactivity of a person with a clean craft room either…I mean…really how can that be???
Love the dresses on the stands too.
Hey one more thing:). I found and posted stuff on Pinterest re donuts…ck it out!
Love ya,
Beth
Ya cool find, love when that happens 🙂
That’s an awesome find for that price! Nice work. I design units like that all the time for clients and $170 barely would get it shipped! You could do so many things with it later 🙂
I love thrift stores! Tell Mr LBB that was an amazing price for that piece!
Totally worth it. I’d have done the same thing.
Oh my GOSH! That thing is gorgeous!! Good for you for snatching the tag! I bet the other lady is kicking herself for not doing the same. 😉
Also, you are beautiful.♥
Oh my goodness what a beauty! and you too Ashley 😉
Such a great find i love it fits that space perfectly too…from one compulsive hoarder to another xx
Katie from lillyandboo
Such a GREAT find!!! love it!
Thats so true, I’m with you Beth! I need that Aussie guy that Oprah had to come sort out my house!
Love the dresser, it would be a perfect sideboard for my dining room!
I love myself a fabulous ‘thrift’ find. Awesome! 🙂
Vanessa 🙂
Gorgeous! What a beautiful find!
Haha! I love that you stole the tag and ran off. And it’s such a big, fun, useful piece! Love the dress forms on top. 🙂
Don’t you remember first come, first serve? Also you should never listen completely to your husband when it comes to good finds – they just don’t get it!
Love a good thrift store or garage sale find!
I did that move once, too. I saw perfect highboy and hutch pieces for my daughter already finished white. Then I ran home to grab my dad for the senior discount. When we came back, a couple was standing in front of it, so I just grabbed the ticket and went to the counter, not looking back once!
Love it! That is awesome!
Awesome find! It was just waiting for you 🙂
Haha, nice dresser… you mind find us swooping in one day if you resell it! 😉
That thing is huge… looks like it will store a bunch of fun stuff.
Love that feeling of spotting just THE right bargain at a garage sale or thrift store. I’m torn between being jealous and being inspired to drop everything to run to Goodwill. nice work.
Normally I would say no way to anything used that cost $170 but I really really love that dresser. Wow!
Love it! Totally worth the price tag. I have to negotiate my hoarding habits too! Haha..
Oh my gosh that is beautiful and worth every penny!

First of all, that dresser is too freakin’ cool…huge and I would love to have space to collect pieces that large. A girl can dream! Second thing…I just found you, stumbling onto your place from the eighteen25 girls. I have been spending three awesome days checking out the links on heir blog, with all these cool findings and crafts. Now…time to dig into your blog. Ps…your story and attitude is a total inspiration and I am sending you a big hug from Michigan. 🙂
That was YOU?!! Awww man, I was eyeballin’ that dresser but when I saw you swoop in, I knew I was beaten! LOL…nah, it wasn’t me really! From the looks of the picture, you didn’t have a problem carrying it upstairs. I’m proud of you for being so strong!!! 😀
Score!
That is an AWESOME dresser! Love it! You are too funny about the Hoarders. Um, yes. I’m right there with you.
Wow! What an INCREDIBLE find! Lucky day for you! Totally worth what you paid
BWAAAAAHAHAHAHA – funny stuff Miss Ash. I had to LOL when you wrote about snaggin’ the tag and runnin’ to the register!! Girl – ya got spunk AND JOY!!! The piece is exquisite. Although I have NONE in my decor, I do LOVE Shabby Chic – just gorgeous and I can just see you schleppin’ that up the stairs. It’s amazing the strength we find when we need it, ya know? (yep, you do)!
Omw I love it!!! So cute 🙂 they are opening a new thrift store near me, I’m so excited!!
Oh my gosh, I LOVE it! The design is such so perfect for “shabby-chic,” I would have swooped it up, too!
Guess I am just going to repeat what many others have said, but, WOW, what a find!! And grabbing that tag – I envy your boldness!
Patricia
You are amazing with your creative mind and abilities. It amazes me how you can see common place things into works of art. You are a true inspiration, not only in the art world but as a person.
Oh my gosh. I’m crazy about second hand ,well loved furniture. I’m just getting back into painting furniture. Actually just did a blog post about it on my very sad, lonely not updated enough blog!
I woke up with you on my mind first thing this morning. Prayed and prayed for your healing and for strength for you and also for all of those who love you! Have a wonderful day!
I LOVE it! What a fantastic find! I never find cute things like that at the thrift store. Maybe I need to go more often. LOL!
Way to snap that awesomeness up!
Now you can hide (i mean, organize, right?) all the aforementioned stuff you’re hoarding INSIDE your new find! teehee 🙂
Go you! Have a fantastic week!
Nice find!! Fastest falcon predator gets the dresser!! 🙂
Still chuckling at Holla! Thats my line 🙂
Hi, first great find. That dresser is bound to hold lots and lots. I just wanted to say that I just recently found your blog (through a friend) and the first post I saw was your video of you shaving your head. I cried like a baby, yet you seemed so strong. You are an amazing woman with a beautiful family. I hope that God continues to bless you (through his sometimes mysterious ways) and that you’ll always continue to choose joy.
With love and hugs and continued prayers, your new blog follower, Renee.
I love it! It is perfect and you so needed it. I so need it. enjoy!

WHAT A FIND!!!! gorgeous, no wonder you’re giving it a hug! lol
I just checked to see how your chemo day (I had chemo today) went then remembered that you are starting a new treatment plan on Thursday. I wanted to make a suggestion really quick. A lot of breast cancer patients do the “red devil.” When I first was diagnosed I was told I was going to do the same but when they found out I was stage 4 they changed my plan. Anyway to prepare for treatment I found a several breast cancer forums where patients would post little tips and herbal remedies for the side effects.
Hello Ashley,
What an amazing woman you are! I found you via the Cottage Momma.
I have been reading your journey for a couple of hours…
I love your dresser, I have a dresser in my work space and they look beautiful and are so much nicer and give character to the space.
Enjoy it!
You will in our prayers girl.
The dresser is a great find. I call my finds “treasures” : )
