My dad was always adamant about me working…..so I always had the most random of summer jobs: I worked at a law firm, I was a caddy at a golf course, I packed beer, I was a cocktail waitress, I worked at county vital records for company research, I valeted cars…..and I even worked for free at times just to learn things…..like the business of picture framing. I sure do have a lot of great stories to remember…..and I just wish I remembered more.

Butcher Block Dinners
I thought I’d share this because it’s a huge part of our family……we eat butcher block dinners almost 5 nights a week.
I buy veggies in large quantities from Costco and we chop them up every night into finger food. Veggies vary by season but they typically include a variation of the following: celery, cucumbers, bell peppers, tomatoes, and broccoli. We sample cheese, fruit and crackers too. On the weekends I’ll add in a few sushi rolls. I use large platters that I get from the 99 cent store….and everyone gets their own platter because each plate is usually a little different:

10 Fall Wreaths for the Super Picky
Ok, I’m going to be honest……I’m not really a wreath gal. Seriously. So I won’t blame you for leaving now…..
Still here? Well, anyway, I don’t really care for wreaths. I’m probably an abomination to the crafting world. (Hello, I secretly idolize Lisbeth Salander….and I KNOW she doesn’t care for wreaths. I don’t know her but I know.) I do happen to put up Christmas wreaths….just straight greenery with classic red velvet bows…..and only because I think Christmas wreaths are par for the course….and well, Santa might not come if we don’t have them. I’ve been thinking about decorating the house a little more now that Boo’s a little older and might actually notice. I’m thinking maybe I’ll start with a fall wreath, so I searched and searched for something I’d put on my door.
