After Boo’s Random Act of Kindness project a while back, I really wanted to do something similar with the students of her school. Instead of the labor intensive boxes that Boo made, I designed and ordered 1,000 of these little wooden nickels. My friend Kay came up with the cute poem to go with it. The students write kind words on one side and give them out….sometimes leaving them on a bench or on a restaurant table with a tip. Boo even left one a few Sunday’s ago for the pastor at the church pulpit. I’m excited to see where it will lead us and how far they will reach:

Update: I forgot to mention where I had the nickels made! Thanks for the reminder! It’s Old Town Nickel Company.

This is a great idea! I had made cards for my 3 toddlers to give to service men/women saying, “Thank you for your service”. I think I will have this done now! Thanks again for the inspiration!
