Cute baby chicks have invaded our house again…so that means one thing: I’m taking way too many photos of baby chicks.
A Mottled Cochin Bantam:
A White Silkie Bantam:
A Silver Laced Wyandotte:
A Bantam Buff Brahma:
The Buff Brahma will grow up to look just like our current buff Sunny. Here she is showing off her wideness and plumpness…what a hoot:
They were all born on Monday. I forgot how small they are as babies! The little bantams are the actual size of a marshmallow…and they know right away to eat and how to drink water. It’s pretty amazing. And then of course they fall asleep wherever they might be standing. Remember Foshizzle:
We aren’t keeping all of the chicks, just three or four of them. And they’ll join the rest of the flock when they are older! Many of you have asked….all of our chicks have come from My Pet Chicken. We have been so happy with their service and overall health of every single chick. They ship from Ohio and I’ve been able to pick them up in Asheville less than 24 hours later in a peeping box. The post office is always so careful with them, even preferring that I pick them up in Asheville instead of letting them stay overnight for their trip to Bryson City the next day.
Recently I’ve been writing stories about each of the older girls. They have so much personality…they actually write the stories themselves. I’ll share some of those soon.
