My friend Erin owns the cutest boutique in Bryson City. Almost every piece of clothing I own (that I actually wear) is from her store Humanité. When Erin asked if she could use our train depot and chickens for her Fall photo shoot I was so excited. I knew the chickens would be ecstatic about their fashion debut. Here are a few of the photos from the shoot! You can see the rest on the Humanite website here and Erin’s sent along a discount code for all of you to use to stock up for Fall. Use lilblue10 to get 10% off any order!
It took a little bit for the chickens to warm up to everyone. It was their (the chickens) first time modeling:
A little bucket of chicken scratch helped:
Henrietta wanted to make sure she got a photo all by herself:
In front of the wood shed:
At the fire pit:
And with my pickup truck Ruby (you can read the story of Ruby here):
So check out Erin’s Humanité Boutique online. What I love about Erin’s mission is that she fills her store with labels that give back. You can read her story here. I feel really blessed to have met Erin and her sweet family! And I also feel really blessed to have such a cute store in our small town…I love the chic boho style of everything and that it’s actually affordable. Thank you Erin for the lilblue10 code for a 10% discount!
P.S. The train depot and Ruby the truck are always open to be rented out for future photo opportunities. The chickens may or may not be cooperative. Just send me a message!

Thanks for sharing your life with us Ashley. I’ve been following you for years. I look forward to your posts which I find emotional, empowering, inspirational, funny, sweet, silly and just plain entertaining sometimes. Love the chickens and the stories you tell about them. Have enjoyed watching Boo grow up and love hearing about your everyday experiences and watching how your place is coming together. I admire you for the big change you made in your life with moving and becoming more ‘one’ with nature. Keep it up! Love to you and your family!!

You should do a family Christmas card sitting on the tale gate of that truck!
