Christmas with cancer…it could be worse I guess. Merry Christmas a day late! Yesterday was a whirlwind and so much fun. I think the best part was that I felt really great……we were a little worried about the new chemo ramp up cramping my style on the holidays.
Just for the record……I’m not the only one who takes a lot of photos every day…..my mom managed to snap a photo of us in church.
If I look a little impish it is because we were discussing how Boo had just spit out communion in the pastor’s hand (I told him not to give it to her).
I have no idea how so many presents ended up under the tree……we try to keep Christmas small. The handmade doll bunk bed was so cute with the new mattresses that Gicela made for me on Thursday:
We all had our traditional Christmas Eve dinner of chili……Sienna and a few of her cousins were visited by the Pajama Fairy. The kids are hanging on by a thread in this photo:
We woke up at 6:30am on Christmas morning…..okay it was actually ME that woke up that early and insisted that everyone else get up. Boo got her Barbie dream house…and THEN we made her leave it for 2 full days as we visited our family in Ladera Ranch….so cruel of us. We stayed with my in-laws in Laguna Niguel for the night and ate breakfast down by the beach this morning. It could not have been more perfect.
It’s only a matter of time before the full set of miniature silverware for Barbie get sucked up in my vacuum cleaner. And why does Barbie need a toothbrush….it’s microscopic!
Playing with cousins today:
Tomorrow is a new chemo day and I’m ready.

Barbie needs a toothbrush. I had a “store” complete with hangers and shopping bags, Barbie size of course.

I’m glad your mom snapped a pic of your family at church….it’s a place I’ve always wanted a picture of my family but it seems weird asking someone a pew over “Hey, do you mind snapping a totally random, unposed photo of us doing something natural when we don’t know you’re going to take the picture” LOL. And now you’ve got that picture!! God Bless !!

Adorable photos. So happy to hear you had a wonderful Christmas. I used a bunch of my Choose Joy bracelets as hostess gifts. Soon will be time to order more! 🙂
The Barbie Dreamhouse made me laugh – my daughter got the Disney Princess equivalent and my husband about busted a gasket when he saw how small some of the pieces were. Too funny.
Good luck tomorrow – I’m sure you know we’ll all be praying for you as you continue your journey.

Sounds like you had a great weekend! I cleaned out my 4 year old’s toys today and found a Barbie braclet or ring or whatever it was. It was about the size of an ant, I threw it away!

What a lovely Christmas you had. I’m giggling about Boo spitting the communion into the Pastor’s hand. She’s so cute. My Daughter had a Barbie dream house like that 20 years ago. It was her favorite!

So glad to hear that you had a good Christmas. Today was beautiful here in sunny California so I was thrilled to see that you got out to the coast for breakfast.

Merry Christmas. Sounds like you had a wonderful few days with special family. I know this might sound a little crazy but it’s been bothering me how you’ve said you don’t drink water, only light sodas. I’ve watched how soda gets made & there are so many chemicals in there. And cells repair & do everything in solution – so they really need water. Without all the chemicals. So instead of being able to put all it’s energy into healing, your body is first trying to flush out all the toxins. Anyway, as I said I know I might sound mad, but as its almost a new year, perhaps you could make it a challenge to match your soda intake with water? Stay strong-you’re sounding so upbeat&positive. Have a wonderful start to the new year.

Completely agree :)Why did they bother with a Barbie toothbrush..it is so tiny! Happy to hear you had a wonderful christmas

So glad you had so much energy for Christmas! Was the Kahlo art piece a gift for someone? I see it in the background.

Reading your heartful thoughts is a blessing. As I was reviewing my thoughts while doing the washing up this evening I was pondering on the central place of faith in your life and how you drew strength from it. I’m not sure I believe in God, at least not as the dogma would have us gulp it down but I certainly do believe in you. Merci.

We got a Dream Townhouse too, and I thought the same thing about the tiny toothbrush.

Merry Christmas

Looks like a wonderful time was had by all at your home! I so recognize the Barbie House, my 21 year old had one way back when and I was OCD about all that little food on the little bitty trays…I was so glad when she decided to pass it on to a younger friend…..! Hope your treatments go well this week, thinking of you and saying a prayer for health and happiness….take care!
