I really wish I was just a LITTLE more patient. I was working on this top….. the idea was sort of an “inside-out” top. Wow….. it was SO cute until I thought it was just a little too flowy….. then I was a rotary-cutter-happy refusing-to-measure-anything-out-stubborn crazy person…. and then it just turned into a disaster. A huge frumpy-lopsided-wonky-frustrating mess. Maybe it can be salvaged into a dress for Sienna……but I am SO OVER this project for now.
It is past midnight now….. I did finish sewing up some samples for a new pattern I am working on. At least something turned out today. Oh, and I just ate some Toll House pie that I brought home from a party tonight. And maybe Sienna will sleep in past 5:30 am tomorrow morning…..could I be so lucky?

Ha, sounds like 50% of my projects! I have as many in the scrap pile as in the good because I refuse to measure and nothing comes out straight or useable!!

Oh thank you for sharing this!!! I get into moods when I'm just too impatient and I totally mess up a project! So glad I'm not the only one!
I do this ALL THE TIME! It's nice though to see someone else who posts their mess-ups, I think it just goes along with the creativity gene…a little stubborn, a lot of ideas and most of the time a great outcome but sometimes a big mess. Nice to see I'm not alone. (:
