It’s National Donut Day.

If you follow Lil Blue Boo at all on Facebook, you might know that I am slightly obsessed with donuts. I eat one almost every morning. So today I’m starting a new ongoing series: the donut chronicles…..all things related to donuts. This first installment is just a collection of donut-related photos that I had on my iPhone……there were a LOT of them.

 

Neither Boo or I like donuts with sprinkles….but they look pretty.

    We have ‘donut day’ every Sunday in our house, the kids go with dad to pick them out and they bring them back home for breakfast. It’s tradition and they have never missed a ‘donut day’ for the past 4 years!

    I totally think you need to do a donut themed dress cause we have several donut themed tees in this house that they wear on Sunday but we would much prefer some LBB! Put me first on the list x2 🙂

    Oh my. This is great and a tiny bit hilarious! And, how fitting that you started this series on National Donut Day. I didn’t even know donuts had a “day” til yesterday. Did you know some donut shops are giving away free donuts? Go get one. I did. 🙂 Oh,happy birthday too.

    If you ever find yourself in NYC, please go to the Doughnut Plant. It is a religious experience – my favorite is the Tres Leche doughnut.

    Time out!!! Is Diesle a miniature, a tea cup, or what?!? The doughnut is half his size!!! And in this house my 9 year old is the junkie. His birthday cake was 9 tiers high!

    My 2 year old got her free donut today – the pink one (strawberry frosted with sprinkles). She was in heaven!

    Girl, youre crazy! sprinkle donuts are my fav! When I was a little girl my dad would drive all over town looking for the chocolate frosting donut with multicolor sprinkles. What a great dad. I try to avoid donuts as much as possible these days, but oh do I love them 🙂

    I seriously love this! I eat a donut each morning too! I will miss lunch just to have a donut. I know, not the healthiest habit but TOTALLY worth it!

    I’m with Boo though, I like glazed the best. A close second is a chocolate cake/old fashion donut (they are 2 for $1 at our local donut shop)…therefore, I eat 2 donuts each day when I pick those rounded droplets of heaven!

    I knew you at them, but I didn’t know it was every morning! How do you stay so thin?! If I were to eat a doughnut, I’d have to spend like… an extra HOUR at the gym!

    I’m with you, doughnuts are amazing! We have a terrific bakery that;s been in downtown Chattanooga for over 30 years and they have fresh doughnuts everyday. They are to die for…….and their apple fritters. Oh my stars.

    Donuts are a truly amazing food. I dream in donut. The Fench think they are so Frenchy with their croissants, but Le Americans have the corner on amazing pastries IMHO. Although, I never turn down a good croissant if one is offered.
