I love the Google Art Project. You can zoom in on famous works of art to see up close detail….closer than you’d ever be allowed to get in a museum. Here’s a closeup of my zooming in on a necklace in Renoir’s Dance at Le Moulin de la Galette:

Never heard of a cucamelon and now I know I’ve been looking for them all my life. Miniature rocks. I wish they were actually little watermelons so I could slice them into wedges and serve to a family of ants.

I LOVE the Google Art Project! It’s so fun to be able to get that close to the pieces of art…closer than in person. I have used this in my classroom and the students love it!

great newsletter. I really liked the cakes you “would bake if you bake”.and those cucamelons look so tastey. are they available anyplace locally or does one have to grow them ?

I live in northern Colorado and saw your cuz on the news. I too thought it was hauntingly beautiful given what he had to endure. I love his outlook… of course you two are related ;).
