Today is the reveal day for this year’s Michaels’ Dream Trees. And it’s snowing at my house…for real.
This year I went with a Scandinavian theme:
Dala horses, DIY ribbon ornaments, rustic Santa and reindeer ornaments and much more:
I love how it turned out. The whole family helped with this year’s theme: cutting, staining, stamping, etc.
On November 14th I’ll have tutorials for each of the ornaments and the supplies I used to make them! But for now you can get a head start by following this tutorial below and using the free template download for the Dala horse image!

Your trees are simply beautiful. Won’t you please create something beautiful for hanukkah as well. I don’t see any Michael’s crafts for Hanukkah. Please give equal time.

You are so creative and I love that you are a real artist. There are so many wonderful art ideas for Hanukkah and most involve activities for kids.
It would be a huge seller as Christmas really dominates the market and parents would love to find real art projects to do for Hanukkah that kids would enjoy.
And no, we don’t want a Hanukkah bush. Most Jewish families do not celebrate Christmas. Hanukkah bushes came about in families where one parent is not Jewish and needed a way to merge the two holidays. The majority of Jews do not put up Christmas trees of any sort.
I’ve never even heard of that… I agree.
