These spicy green beans are a wok favorite around the Lil Blue Boo house. I serve them with Trader Joe’s jasmine rice (cooks in 3 minutes in the microwave) and it’s a super fast dish to prepare for a vegetarian meal!
Ingredients:
2 to 3 cups of green beans
1 tbsp sesame oil
1 tbsp vegetable oil
1 tsp soy sauce
1/2 tsp chili oil
1/2 tsp of red pepper flakes
1 tbsp of any Asian sauce that has ginger and rice vinegar in it (I use a Gyoza dipping sauce from Trader Joe’s)
I start with regular green beans…
…..and I cut the ends off and cut them into 2″ pieces:
I saute garlic in the sesame oil and vegetable oil:
Add in the green beans
For the sauce I mix together:
1 tsp soy sauce
1/2 tsp chili oil
1/2 tsp of red pepper flakes
1 tbsp of any Asian sauce that has ginger and rice vinegar in it (I use a Gyoza dipping sauce from Trader Joe’s)
I add the sauce to the wok and cook the beans for 3 to 4 minutes.
Once the beans are cooked through and tender I turn the heat to high and toss the beans up the sides of the wok to sear them and thicken the sauce.
Finished! Serve with rice and enjoy!

I tried these today using Hoisin Sauce and Srirachi instead of the dipping sauce (my market didnt have it) and it was sooooo good. My hubby and I really loved it, we like spicy foods and we will be making this again, for sure. Thanks for sharing.
