Boo’s Photo Project "Let’s Do 52"

I was all set to participate in Paint the Moon’s “Let’s Do 52” Project….but then I thought it would be SO much more fun to help Boo participate. After all, she DID ask Santa for a “camera with legs, but no feet”….and I personally think a 3-year-old could have a lot to say through photography 😉

Boo got a hand-me-down camera from her Mimi and Papa and Mommy and Daddy bought her a mini tripod:


Week 1’s theme is New Beginnings…..so last night I taught Boo how to use the timer on her little camera. She took this photo of the two of us….I think she did a pretty good job!

 Our last Valentine’s Day addition is a Daddy’s Girl Dress for a Cause! We wanted to give back to a single dad with this dress design and the overwhelming majority of you asked that the proceeds go to The Liz Logelin Foundation!

 So, 10% of net proceeds from each dress sale will go to the Liz Logelin Foundation. The Foundation was established in 2009 by Matthew Logelin, who lost his wife Elizabeth in 2008. If you have not read Matt’s blog before, please go and read it now! He is amazing and his little girl is precious beyond words!

Update: $200 raised! All donation receipts are always posted once the donation is made. While charitable amounts could remain anonymous I think that any website/individual who is asking you to “buy” something to raise funds should provide a paper trail.

 

Scottsdale

Just got back from a 4 day trip to Scottsdale, AZ for a family wedding. I took along my camera to capture some family moments and some inspiration.

I spent one full day walking around old town Scottsdale with my mother-in-law and my husband’s aunt. I bought this new “Indiana Jones” hat:

Last night Brett’s step-brother got married at Montelucia. I used to babysit him when he was younger so I’m starting to feel old. It was a gorgeous setting:


It was a 4:00 wedding….the sunlight was breathtaking coming in through these windows and hitting the chandeliers:
