Deep Creek is just 3 miles from the center of Bryson City.
There are three waterfalls within a short walking distance:
Juney Whank Falls: 80 foot waterfall. 1/4 of a mile from the mail trail head.
Toms Branch Falls: 60 foot tall waterfall. 2/10 of a mile from the main trail head. Toms Branch waterfall faces the trail making it a great spot for a family photo and to watch tubers go by in the summer. A straight trek straight from the parking lot, located right on the Deep Creek trail.
Indian Creek Falls: 25 foot waterfall. About a mile after Toms Branch Falls. Follow Deep Creek trail from Toms Branch Falls and turn right onto Indian Creek trail. It’s just up to the left.
The main Deep Creek trail starts at the parking lot and follows the creek. It’s an old, wide gravel road bed so it’s great for running, bikes and even jogging strollers.
You can find a detailed PDF map of the hike (and elevation change) here at Bryson City Outdoors.
