I’ve been teaching Boo how to take photos with black and white photography paper.  We made a few wide angle pinhole cameras (easier to change film all at once) and set up a small darkroom in the hall bathroom to develop the paper. I’m working on a few posts so you can just copy what we did….but wanted to share a few of Boo’s photos:

We’ve used film before in a pinhole but the photographic paper is so much better. She can take a photo and quickly develop it….and see what needs to be adjusted….then go right back out and re-take the photo. For example, here was the first self portrait she took. As soon as we saw it developing we could tell that the shutter hadn’t been left open long enough.  So she adjusted to 40 seconds instead of 20 seconds.  P.S. That’s a long time for a kid to stay still…..that’s why they get a little blurry.  But I love all the flaws and light leaks and dust that affect the photos.
